this one started off as a sketch while i was at work shop training
original idea was for another piece and i thought i'd make it into one of my posts - not a lot of textures, just a quick simple one for a tuesday night!

The Princess and the Pea(s)

Heres my interpretation of the princess and the pea - he bought all his friends along and now its party time!
I'm going to do a few more fairy tales - they're so fun to do - because you can do one simple picture and you know the whole story

Dragon Nights

I wanted to do the opposite of little kids scared of the dark - and this time having fun with the monsters in their room
not all monsters are spOoky...
...just as long as they don't eat you!

The Coppa's

the third piece to the ghoulies
the coppa's side of things
i like using the paint brush effect in the background, it gives the piece some shadowing and lighting

The Stand Off

went super 50's with this one...
its fun to use such abstract shapes, but being simple has a great effect
will definitely be doing more like this

try to keep them ghoulies from getting away...

Art Wars

The Sequel to the Green Leaf Monster
this was drawn for Art Wars - a small game we play on face book

“For small creatures such as we the vastness is bearable only through love.” -Dr. Carl Sagan.

One of my favourite characters - The Green Leaf Monster...
He loves Jimmy Jones sugar cubes and travels far in the summertime to collect them and takes them back to his tree house.
Hopepfully me and my sister can start up a children's storybook about this guy, it's in the works so maybe something soon xox

Method Studios...

A piece i did for my sisters studio, her partner loves robots so i thought i would work with that and the colours that would suite their studio

this tell a story about a train that travels far to collect broken robots and takes them back to the station to be repaired.. A 2nd piece follows this - have not finished it yet..

Will post soon!!

Chicks Man

i love doing rosy cheeks - especially with these colours

The Nesting Tree

one i did early last week - while on recovery from the surgery
a good experiment to use the darker colours but still keep that 50's theme
they were originally supposed to be owls - but they looked so flat so i thought id try something different

Paris Pepper

little pepper shaker needs his salt shaker mate
inspired by my love of Decolle :o)

One Day Paris Will Be MIne!

This is a piece i did while i was recovering from my wisdom teeth surgery
i got soo hungry drawing all those yumm donut and only being able to eat soup and mash potatoes!!! BOO

i reaaaalllllyy want to go to Paris one day, and this is the kind of feel i get when i think of it

...one day my buba will take me :)

Lobster Hotpot

newest of my work
i was experimenting with the shadows - i like it but i think I'm going to stick to the standard grain effects..
i got really inspired by Ratatouille on this one with the colours

yumm this makes me hungry for all you can eat seafood!!! Tre Pecsi's!!

Cover for Rooney Roo

The New Yeti...

The new and improved sasquatch, a softer cuter, more friendlier version.
I love to use really cool 50's style fonts when i'm doing my pieces.. Font Diner is the best place to get that retro look.
this piece would be great to do sequels too...

Sasquatch

some of my earlier work - i like this style but the colours are a bit too strong for me - i like putting the effects on illustrator as well to give it that worn & torn look

this is a saying me and my boyfriend say to each other when we know the other is talking nonsense!!
...happens quite often actualy...

Sewing Box

My sewing box I made for myself. with an Apple & Worm theme...

I would love to make different themes and sell them on etsy

Handmade Goodies

Apart from drawing i love to sew, i like making some of my characters come to life...
Owls are cool - you can do the same as the robots and get really creative with them

My Love for Robots...

I love drawing robots - you can put whatever you want on them and get really creative with the design - i loved the robot from the Jetsons cartoons

sweet little robot will destroy you!

Bush Australia Newsletter

My monthly contribution to our newsletter where i work - I thought doing the covers for each newsletter would build my portfolio and give me some limits on what I could design, also its great to be pushing out something each month - i should be doing alot more!! Whoops...

Welcome

i Loved using this grain affect on Illustrator, gave it that old 50's look, the start of this style which i can't get enough of, i'll be posting some of my earlier work later on, so you can see how it has developed...
